GRANT
FINANCIAL GRANTS AVAILABLE
Malaysian-Danish Partnership Facility Programme

FMM has been appointed as the Local Focal Point for the Malaysian-Danish Partnership Facility Programme in Malaysia for 2006 to 2007. The Partnership Facility Programme (PFP) was initiated in 1996 by the Danish Cooperation for Environment and Development, an agency of the Danish Ministry of Environment.

The overall objective of PFP is to reduce the pollution and environmental degradation caused by various socio-economic activities. This can be achieved through the transfer of technologies and know-how from the Danish environmental sector to cooperating partner companies in Malaysia. The PFP will support partnership which is commercially viable and has a specific and measurable positive environmental impact. The Malaysian-Danish partners are expected to enter into long-term and mutually binding cooperation.

The priority areas of PFP include the following:
- Waste and emission treatment, including waste management
- Renewable energy and energy efficiency including renewable energy    production, distribution & energy management
- Cleaner technologies and production
- Environmental audit and management systems including IT systems

Under the PFP, financial assistance is available for companies with qualified project ideas. The PFP grant covers match-making visits, feasibility study or start-up and the final implementation including demonstration projects. If your company is looking for meaningful, commercially viable partnership with Danish companies for new technologies in the above mentioned areas, we would like to invite you to attend a briefing as follows:
